Requirements for recruitment, is final year dissertation necessary?

    Taping
    Hi all,

Just wondering, as an undergraduate student going into final year, is it necessary to complete dissertation module? Willl this effect job opportunities in Ireland and abroad? Will it effect me carrying out prospective masters programmes (either in Ireland or abroad)??

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

Re: Requirements for recruitment, is final year dissertation necessary?

I would say yes. I'm not basing this on any sort of evidence that I have, but something that I remember hearing from a CSP talk a while back about a pre-requisite of the degree course should be a final year research project. Are there courses that don't involve a final year project? I've not heard of any.

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    I think it depends.

I would think the fact that you have a B.Sc. and not an M.Sc. will affect you more. I think only the UK accepts physios with undergrad degrees now, most other places (Canada, US, Australia) require an M.Sc. (or a B.Sc. with numerous years of experience).
