Hello,
I've just finished my first year studying physiotherapy at Kings College and have been placed in the renal department at Guy's Hospital for 6 weeks as part of the course. I imagine that physiotherapy might be used to maintain mobility and strength in patients with kidney failure and to optimise blood circulation after dialysis. However, I haven't been able to find any information online and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated.
Cheers,

Hi there
I work In renal down in Swansea, we do everything from cycling on dialysis to massively complex patient assessments. It's a really interesting rotation and you will learn loads! No two days or patients are the same! I'm only a tech but work with a great band 7 who teaches loads and as it's specialised you will learn load that you wouldn't on any other rotation.
Good luck!
