Indeed, it is more the appropriate indication to use it more than the use of it that is the real question. And knowing what the contraindications are. I do know that it is common in rugby and football clubs for all the players used to EPA devices to just grab a bed and hook themselves in. Not great for the PI insurance folk but it does lend support to the cause that physio is about hands on treatment and decision making and not the administering of EPA which assistants and perhaps patients could even do for themselves (once shown how).
