    Patella Dislocation

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
Hi, I was wondering how long it takes to fully recover from a patella dislocation? I have someone who dislocated their patella 2 days ago and still wants to climb Mont Blanc in six weeks- Is this feasable?

    Patella dislocation

Hi. I have reasonable experience with patella dislocations. Me myself and two of my sons recovered from this. For a full recovery does it matters if this dislocation happened due to trauma or due to a anatomical situation of the knee. If trauma caused this, let the damage in the joint heal and get the strength in the knee back by training. If there is a tracking problem of the patella you have to train the inner-muscles for stabilization and coordination, for example by the McConnell therapy, and than the greater muscles for power. This takes far more than 6 weeks and you have to keep this up. The physical health of you patient before this accident is also leading for the recovery-period. If you want to know more pleas ask. A lot of success with your patient.
