I am really curious, did you get this problem resolved? I have the same problem (I think) and am very anxious to do the *right* things to treat. A Neurologist was not able to find any significant problem on an Wikipedia reference-linkMRI so I guess that is good. But the problem started while doing lunges and back bends. I am very inferior at lunges when the left leg is positioned behund, as compared to the right (much more pain)... so I may have pushed harder in that position to try to push through the pain. That is when the numbness began. This was 6 weeks ago and it has never gotten any better. I am 5' 11" and 176 lb so over-weight is not an issue. But a champion sitter is... I sit many hours per day and do not get much exercise (never have) so I am sure muscles in pelvis are chronically shortened and tightened. I also have chronic pelvic (genital) pain and am still looking for a resolution... but since the meralgia paresthetica is newer I am more hopeful it can be reversed...?

Suggestions from other posters welcome. I am going to try acupuncture and chiropractor to see if this helps, now that a neurologist has no serious concerns.
