    Brief Medical History Overview

    Injured arm

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Three weeks ago I fell on my left elbow really hard. It was brused really bad and I had xrays and two sessions so far of PT. Dr. said it was a cervical strain. Anyway, it's getting better but now I am feeling a heaviness or pressure rather in that arm. It's more like pressure. Is that normal when healing from an elbow injury. It doesn't really hurt it's just wierd.
    Thanks for your time.

    Re: Injured arm

I am a bit confused, the diagnosis given by the doctor suggests that the problem is in the neck. If so, is it a strain in the neck, or a nerve injury that was indicated?

If not, and the pain is localized to the elbow, then it is probably a physio who can help out with residual swelling and pressure issues.
    Regards

    Re: Injured arm

Thanks for your reply. When I fell, I think there may have been a whiplash since it effected the other side of my neck (right neck and I fell on the left elbow) I'm concerned because I am dizzy too and I wasn't sure if the after effects of whiplash could make me dizzy. It's been three weeks...

I would definitely see someone about this. Whiplash can make you dizzy, it is possible.

The reason you don't want to take any advice online is because there are very important structures through the neck, including the vertebral artery, and various nerves, as well as discs that can be influencing your symptoms. It would be prudent to clear these structures with a qualified therapist as the source of the symptoms.

In the meantime, write down as best per your recall exactly what happened, how you fell, and what movements activities cause the problems you are noticing.

If no one has picked this up before, please explain your concerns. There are specific tests that can be done to confirm whether these symptoms are a result of other issues

    Regards
