Brief Medical History Overview
Back pain, pins and needles
Hello,
I'd be very grateful for some input into the following.
I had surgery 17 mths ago for Spondelothesis , at level 3/4 also facet joints undercut. I have never been completely pain free however the leg pain was bearable, albeit wearing. About 6 mths ago the leg pain got worse and I noticed the stoop I had, returned. In the last few mths I started to get low back pain with pain radiating to my right hip, the pain is at times quite bad. At the same time I noticed pins and needles in the saddle region when I came across any resistance, it resolved quickly when I stopped doing what I was doing. My physio suggested I contact my GP asap which I did. I have been referred back to the surgeon and have had an MRI with contrast in the last few days.
I have been signed off work for 6 weeks, I'm in my 3rd week and the pain hasn't got any better , infact some days it's worse. The only therapy I'm getting at the moment is hydro. I work in healthcare and I'm extremely worried about my job, it could be months before I'm seen by the surgeon who did the op. Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.
