Brief Medical History Overview
osgood schlatter in my 12 year old daughter
Hi. I did read the other threads.
My daughter was just diagnosed by ER doc- we're seeing Rothman Institute next week. She is tiny - 1% of weight. At 12 she's only 54 pounds - she was adopted from China at age 3 (was 21 pounds then). Her endocronologist says she's about 3 years behind in bone growth - well, this just popped up.
She's a cheerleader - allstar - so she does back handspring tucks, layouts, etc. She is also a flyer.
Is it likely she will be able to participate this season or will they want her to rest the season? Below her knees are extremely swollen and of course we're resting until seeing Rothman.
Any chance it's her diet and weight? I probably should have pushed more food... Thank you for any thougths.
Ellen
