    Brief Medical History Overview

Fractured Lateral Malleolus - 11 months ago

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Any advice would be appreciated... I rolled my left ankle decending a staircase while on vacation in Italy last October. Being in another country and on vacation, I did not seek medical attention immediately. The ankle swelled and turned black and blue, but being on vacation I was 'forced' to continue walking (or limping) on it. After sometime the swellng went down, discoloration disappeared and I thought I had simply spained my ankle as I had done many times playing sports.

The ankle has bothered me since but I thought it was normal ackes and pains associated with me getting older (Male/56 yo). I can walk relatively pain free. The last several months the ankle has gotten very sensitive to touch and I really uncomfortable while sitting with my ankle under me (playing with the dog or even watching TV). I am concerned that can feel a growth on my bone that is not present on the other ankle. Any suggestions on what this growth might be or what type of relief I should seek. Any advice whould be appreciated...

    Aircast Airselect Short Boot
i think that you have malunion fractoure and heal in wrong why due to improper treatment for it so you must go to orthopadic doctor to have xray and decide if it will need realignment or minimal displacment and then you will be on rehabilitation program
but you can now use ice packs over the area and using bandage to roll it to prevent any further swelling.
