    Re: Knee twist

Sounds like a ligament instability. Maybe you did that in the past and just retwisted something on this recent occasion? Jerky giving way could indicate some trauma to your Wikipedia reference-linkcruciate ligaments.

    Re: Knee twist

Any locking, clicking or giving way of the knee? Is there any difference in weakness on each side.
Your better in only 1 day so it sounds like it was just an acute strain but you can't rule a mild meniscal tear... this would make your knee a bit more unstable. I would suggest getting a physio to look at it. Your therapy would consist of stabilisation and strengthening exercises to help protect your knee while it heals.
Regardless of the condition that underlies this incident you should have those exercises as part of rehab for your knee so I suggest you get someone to show them to you.

    Re: Knee twist

Hey thanks for all ur replies..
Further to the thing, I consulted my Ortho doctor regarding this. He did some checks on my knee & said it is Cruciate injury.
He has asked me to go for waxation for 10days & some strengthening exercises
