Hey all! Im new here and not 100% sure on how everything works but ill do my best.
Well for around a year ive noticed trigger points starting to pop up nearley all over my back, deltoids and biceps. I roll around on a tennis ball to try and release them but the thing is i have so many. And if i was to release all of them it would take hours.
Weightlifting is my hobby and i love it to bits, i just dont want to have to give it up because after a workout i am all stiff and knotted. Ive got points sending reffered pain to many parts of my body. Help it feels like a warzone!

Hi Mikey10
There could be a few things going on:
1. Fibromyalgia is a condition that produces multiple sites of muscle pain but there are also other symptoms that go with it such as lethargy and tiredness and people often experience mood changes. I would be surprised if you do muscle trainng and keep fit that you would be prone to this but it s possible. Have a read of this info and see what you think

2. You could be overtraining. How often do you train a week? Overtrainng can make you feel quite debilitated and give you muscle pain as well as produce overuse injuries
3. It may not be trigger points but symptoms of some other systemic disease. Have you discussed this with your dr? If not it may be time to pay a visit
4. You may be giving yourself muscle imbalances if your training regime isn't balanced - however this usually produces pain in specific muscles and isn't to widespread.
