Ultrasound machine, problems with knees, is it worth it??
Hello all,
I'm just recovering from left knee injury made during soccer game. Doctor said it's torn ligament but I should be able to start training again in 6 weeks time. The problem is the injury happened on 31 April and sometimes I'm still feeling little pain in my knee and it is swelling a bit after exercises like running, although I'm wearing a good brace. I know it takes time to recover (had similar but a lot worse injury to the right knee 6 years ago and had to stop playing professionally) but time is money for me now as I have just been invited for tryouts to professional team in England. The tryouts are going to be at the end of August so I would like to heal that knee (and strenghten other one) as fast as possible and focus on normal training routine.
I'm taking glucosamine, collagen type II, omega 3 oil, couple other suplements and rehab that knee daily using wobble board etc.
Lately I've heard about portable ultrasound machines, like that for example:

My question is do you guys think it is worth buying?? Can ultrasounds from portable machine like that help me recover faster? And also is it safe to use? I wouldn't like to make any further harm to myself as time is really important to me now.
Maybe I should rather focus on sth else?? Any ideas/suggestions??
Thanks in advance
