Hi, i was concerned a while ago by what i thought was a lump in the back/side of my neck, i went to the doctors who said it felt normal, but i wasn't convinced. I think what i am feeling is the trapezius muscle, if i turn my neck to the right and run my fingers down the trapezius muscle there is a lump about halfway down and if i turn my head to the left there is a lump in the same place, they seem to run accross the trapezius, but if i put my head in the straight on position i can grab hold of the right one but not the left, plus if i pinch along the edge of the trapezius from top to bottom there seems to be what feels like a thick vein running down it, or is it just the edge of the muscle i am feeling? if i feel along the edge of the left one i can feel the same vein like structure but its a lot thinner and much harder to get hold of. Or could i bee feeling the Levator scapulae, because looking at pictures it looks as if that is where i am feeling.
