Age: 20, Male, Presenting Problem Since: 2 weeks, approaching 3, Symptom Behaviour: remaining constant, Aggravating Factors:: Squatting, No Investigations
Hi, I have been squatting for years now and have only recently got a pain deep in my buttocks around the piriformis area( 2 weeks ago), the pain was preventing me from being able to squat and so I decided to go to a physiotherapist, after their initial diagnostic they said that, the pain was probably originating from the piriformis muscle and that I may have something called piriformis syndrome, however apart from that and a few stretches was unable to recommend anything else until I came back for another session, unfortunately at the moment I cant afford this, so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of any stretches/treatment methods that I can perform myself either at home or in the gym, and if anyone had any advice on what/if any exercises I could do in the gym to speed up the rehabilitation and possibly to help me not lose too much muscle in my legs while I recover?
Thanks in advance.
