Patient severed FPL, FDP, FDS and median nerve and is now 8/52 post injury
Px is still experiencing a lot of pain in his wrist and hand and is finding it difficult to do his exercises. He is also continuing to have a lot of swelling in his hand and fingers. He complains to you that the pain appears to be spreading rather than reducing.
The pain has travelled up into his elbow and his neck and both of his shoulders are sore as well. Sometimes he can barely touch his hand at all and often he can get “burning, electric –shock type feelings in his hand” even when he is not doing anything. Other times it throbs or feels really cold and “weird”.
Any suggestions as to whats happening?

Sounds like CRPS, you could try some graded motor imagery to complement your normal physio session and maybe an education session in chronic pain would be helpful.
