Is is possible to be doing physio wrong - I've been doing physio for knee pain (pain just behind the patellar that gets worse with twisting motion, straightening my leg from a sitting position and any sort of kicking motion), which initially involved squats, lunges, single leg squats and leg raises to strengthen the vmo, and honestly, in the last 8 weeks the pain has become progressively worse and worse, such that from Week 5 it was too painful to continue with lunges and single leg squats.
I've also attempted cycling too, but that went very, very badly, and seems to have just compounded the pain.
My physio always checks that I'm doing the exercises with good form at the end of every session and she's never mentioned that I'm doing anything wrong, but there must be something that I'm doing wrong because I have been doing the exercises really diligently because all I want to do is get back to training, but things are getting worse (much worse in fact) rather than better, but I can't work out where I'm going wrong so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
