MRI Impression - I need to understand...
Hi folks...I'm MWM, 54 years of age, 215 lbs, good health, don't smoke, drink socially, work in a retail environment...
The problem is...horrible handwriting for several years (at one time diagnosed as focal dystonia), loss of strength in hands, some balance issues while walking, constantly drop tools, very frustrated with fine motor skills like shaving, using a screwdriver, drinking a cup of coffee, eating.....I think you get the idea....
At my last annual physical, my regular doctor requested a cervical x-ray...which led to a cervical spine MRI...which led to the following IMPRESSION:
"Spondylosis changes in the cervical spine, most pronounced at C5-C6 and C6-C7 at which levels posterior disc bulging and degenerative uncovertebral spurring result in severe left-sided foraminal stenosis at C5-C6 and moderate bilateral foraminal stenosis at C6-C7. There is mild spinal canal stenosis at both levels."
I have a "neuro surgery consult" on MON.
What should I expect?
