The Alberta Society for Qualified International Physiotherapists has been formed! We'd like any physiotherapists who may want to participate in this non-profit support group to contact us for assistance. We are hoping to host our first get acquainted reception in September in Edmonton. Do make your plans to attend this free event.

Great Idea. I think this will serve as an opportunity for some of us heading to Alberta to meet the practicing therapists on the ground.
Just a few questions: What will be the highlight of the meeting and what are the potential benefits and roles international Accredited PTs will take in this group?
Dear Elseohjay,
thanks for your questions! Well, it's hard to predict the highlights, but I'd guess the following would be likely:
1. Meeting several employers interested in hiring
2. Linking up with other new physios
3. Meeting local physios and touring local hospital/clinics
Any other ideas to make the event worth the flight?

Hi Crystal,
I like the idea of this new group which has been formed. Could you give more information about the society and its plans.
I am currently living in London, England and hoping to move to Alberta in May 2014. I would like to have contact details and more information about preparing for the PCE.
Many thanks
