Hi Elionora,

I am student in final year physiotherapy studying in INDIA and im plannig to study my masters in USA. I went to USA this september,2010 to have a look at the system and get an idea about doing physical therapy. Look first thing you need to do is get your degree of undergraduate evaluated in USA. they will take a look at ur subjects and will then decide whether your degree is valid in USA or not. For the evaluation there is a site "www.wes.org" which shows the procedure of evaluation. IF you are evaluated as having the degree equivalent to USA, then you will have to give, NPTE examination for getting the license to work in USA. remember every sate in the US has a different license and so you will have to decide first in which state you wish to stay and give the license examintion of that proper state.

On the other hand, if your degree is ot equivalent to the USA system, then they will recommend you to take the subjects you need to get the equivalent of Physical therapy degree. And US offers all kinds of degrees for physical therapy..... Undergraduate, graduate, doctor.

I am quite aware of the system of the US as im plannig to settle there... rest countries i dont know

If you get more newz regarding the US system, keep me updated. thank you
