I am a second year physio student currently working on coursework titled 'good muscle function is a primary defence against pain and recurrent low back pain disorders'. I am trying to critically evaluate this statement. I can find lierature emphasising the importance of good muscle function but need something which is evidence based and something which covers the other factors which can cause back pain e.g poor posture, ergonomic factors, genetic causes etc etc. Any help in this area would be very gratefully appreciated.
