    Re: working in australia

    Hi,
before you can apply for any jobs, you will need to get registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
Physiotherapy Board of Australia - Overseas Practitioner Registration

And before you can do so, you need to have your qualification assessed by the Australian Physiotherapy Council.
Overview of Assessment for Registration Purposes ? Australian Physiotherapy Council
None of the Indian university programmes is listed on the "equivalent" list, so you will need to undergo full assessment procedures.

    Good luck,
    Fyzzio

    Re: working in australia

    Hi rabab,
I don't think it matters for purposes of registration.
But I would start sooner than later as the process could take some time.
If they ask for exams, you will need to sit them in Australia.
    Good luck, Fyzzio

    Hi guys,

We run an APC Clinical Exams preparation course for overseas Physiotherapists gaining their professional entry registration (Australia).
    This course has been designed for overseas physiotherapists who have successfully completed the APC theory examination. Our aim is to prepare you for the APC clinical assessments. By sharing our experiences, we will demystify the process and help you to gain the most from your study sessions, enabling you to demonstrate your true clinical skills on the day. The course is broken down into 4 easy to digest sections;

    • How to Workshop
    • Musculoskeletal
    • Neuro
    • Cardio Respiratory

Advertise your physiotherapy job on Physiobob's Job
    Hi Fyzzio,

I am a Canadian physiotherapist interested in going to Australia on a Work-Holiday Visa for 12 months. I would like to apply for limited registration only, and was wondering do I also have to have my qualifications assessed by the Australian Physiotherapy Council first before applying for limited registration?

    Your advice is greatly appreciated.
