What IS New Zealand like to to live and work??

    Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking of applying to work out in NZ over the coming year or so and was wondering if anyone can just give me a few pointers as to what life is like for a physio. Im a UK trained currently a junior PT who wants to live and work out there for approx a year.
My main questions are related to areas of work, length of rotations/contracts, salary, cost of living etc...Any advice or tips on the above would be really appreciated.

    Thanks, James

All I can tell you is that a lot of NZers are leaving for Oz because pay is better for the same amount of workload.

    Hi,
NZers have always been leaving for OZ to work as the pay is better. Also for Physios, getting registered is easy. That hasn't changed over the last 20 years.
What is different these days is that there is not much work in NZ.

I have just talked to a British Physio who said that on the new application form you have to sign a statement that you intend to work in NZ. Just a little warning for applicants who apply for rego in NZ in order to work in Aussie. :-)

    Cheers,
    Fyzzio
