    Hi

    Can someone please help me

I have completed a 3 yr degree from the UK and want to register for NZ, but don't have any post grad experience althought I am starting a new job next week until January. SHould I carry on with the job until I've done 1 year or any possibilities of applying now? I really want to get the registration done by January/February.

    Thank u xx

    Hi,
look at the application guideline form. http://www.physioboard.org.nz/docs/A...March_2011.pdf
    It states quite clearly:

    Section D:
Applicants must meet one of the categories below to establish eligibility to apply for registration. Please note that the categories are not listed in any particular order, they are numbered purely for referencing purposes.
Primary physiotherapy qualification from a three year full time undergraduate degree
Persons who have gained their primary physiotherapy qualification overseas who have a physiotherapy qualification from a three year full time undergraduate degree programme will require:
    Either,
    • A minimum of one year full-time post-qualification physiotherapy practice experience as a fully registered (i.e. with unconditional registration) physiotherapist, not in sole
practice, in their country/countries of practice,
This experience must be gained in a professionally supported environment provided by an experienced physiotherapist and include:
    • Observed practice and guidance for professional development and
    • Physiotherapy practice experience in the core bases of physiotherapy that were
not covered during the prequalification clinical/physiotherapy practice placements
    Or,
    • Evidence of successful completion of a formal course of university level physiotherapy study additional to their primary physiotherapy qualification i.e. Certificates of Proficiency, a Graduate Certificate, a Graduate Diploma, a Postgraduate Diploma or a Masters.

So, I understand that you have to complete 4 years of "training" before you can apply for registration.
    Regards,
    Fyzzio
