FCCPT Evaluation, missing Professional Education Credits.

Hi, You mention that you did your credential evaluation for the state of New York and you have also mentioned about general education credits. I was under the impression that NY state does not ask for general education credits. Could you kindly let me know if they do as my file is in process with the FCCPT for NY. Thanks.

Hi there, I am also in a similar position as you guys......except I'm hoping you are both much further ahead now?
I've had my credentials evaluated (finally) by COMPED state of NY and I'm also short of credits. I have to complete 2 of either bio/chem/physics and take the CLEP exams. I've heard they are really tough.....I struggled with chem in high school! I'm still in London and considering taking the exams here first as it still seems a very lengthy process from here! My boyfriend is living in NY now but I'm worried to go over there yet in case the process isnt over and my tourist visa runs out!
Wondering, how long would you guys recommend I should allow to study for and sit the CLEP exams?

No NY state do ask for general credits, all i can say is that they seem to accept less credits than most other states but i dont know how much by. If they say you youre lacking in an area, doing some CLEP exams is relatively easy.
