I AM FROM INDIA, I WANT TO KNOW WHETHER I HAVE TO GO TO USA TO TAKE UP THE NPTE EXAM OR IT CAN BE WRIITEN FROM HERE.
PLEASE SOMEBODY GIVE ME THE FULL DETAILS OF THE PROCESS AND THE TIMETAKEN FOR IT.
SOMEBODY PLEASE RESPOND AT THE EARLIEST AS I AM ABOUT TO GET MY CREDENTIAL EVALUATION,

Hi,
For appearing for NPTE you have to go to USA on a visiting visa bcz The centres in Canada and Guam are closed.Once you get your credential report..go to www.fsbpt.com their download the application form for the state licensure for the state you are applying for...send the completed form along with the required DD to the state board..Also request FCCPT to forward your credential report to state board..chck the website if your state board has any additional requirements...
When all the requirements are fulfilled the state board will approve your application and send you the jurisprudence exam ..complete it send it back to them...Then you will receive an ATT from the state board..with that register for NPTE..then go to prometric to take a date for NPTE...

This is what the process I am aware of..as I am also waiting for my credential report.

Have you done your masters...??Are you aware how many general and professional education credits are required for the state of Florida...??You have applied through ICD or FCCPt...

I hav *** to know that everybody will have to go for their PGs sooner or later as the rules keep changing here.Can anybody tell me wat shud I go for a masters or Doctorate?Wat is a transition Program?

Could any one please guide me further. I do have some questions....


· Is license exam must or necessary for any therapist who wants do job as a physiotherapist in the USA ?

· I (write any ones name) hav finished my bachelor(B.P.T.) 4rm India n want 2 clear license exams in the US so is it possi 2 give license exams on the qualification basis of B.P.T. directly ?

· Is TOEFL must 4 license n if yes dn any minimum limit of scores needed 2 appear in the exams?

· If I take any course for study n then I want 2 do a job as a therapist then also license is must?

Hi Purvi
License exam is must to get a job in USA as physicaltherapist even if u r graduated here in USA .It must be taken in US only u dont have anyother option regarding this.
TOFEL score - u have to get a minimum of 26 in speaking inorder to get visa screening certificate.

Actually I am coming on H4 VISA as my Husband is in US. I have finished my BPT last year and currently Practicing in India. I dont have US degree, eventhough I want to go for Licence straight away ,would it be ok or better to have US degree? If I pass my Licence will I get Job Straight Away or Do I need to go through some ASSISTANCESHIP or training?

Getting an US degree totally depends on your wish. Some univs reqires licensce to do t-dpt
When u get licensce u get job but ofcourse as u know it depends on ur visa(work permit) it is not neseccary to do an assistentship or what ever.
