with thw tests you then work your way up each joint. Usually you can tell the deficit by which joints are affected. so a less severe deficit may only have lost propreoception in the small joints (fingers) and more severe in the bigger joints (elbow/shoulder)

I dont think it would really be necessary to test at home, as it is only an assesment and further treatment will be required to either increase the propreoception or work out ways to conpensate for the problem.

Other propreoceptive tests for ankle could be single leg standing, and using wobble boards etc which would also be a treatment for more advanced patients.
