Casting orthotics course: Anyone know a good one?

    Taping
    Hi,

I wonder if anyone knows of any courses or if anyone would be able to teach me to cast orthotics? I have completed several biomechanical courses and am able to prescribe ready-made orthotics but would like now to learn how to make my own prescription orthotics.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Netty

    hi netty,

There is a guy is sydney australia, who has a double degree in podiatry and chiroipractic, and i heard on the grape vine that he may be running a detailed course on casting orthotics, with the biomechanics behind it! if interested let me know and i will get a name for you. ( i'm investigating this as well at the moment).

    Hi C,

Thanks for your reply and offer of help..................unfortunately I am not in Australia but in England! I hope you find what you are looking for too.

Does anyone know of any courses or individuals that could teach me how to cast an orthotic in England?

Or I am thinking I will have to go along the other route of an orthotic system like the Everflex skeletal balance system which does not require you to cast the foot. Does anyone use the Everflex system?

    Thanks

    Netty,
