Well...for one...you shouldn't be weightbearing yet. Usually a wait of 4-8 weeks of NWB to PWB gait until healing is apparent. During this time you'll do PT for ROM, strength, etc. Pain is also common following this procedure for up to and sometimes past a year.





I know exactly where it is. It is on the shoulder of the talar dome on the tibial side and it is fairly large in size. I recently had surgery on it. It was an arthroscopic procedure and they did subchondral drilling. My ankle is still hurting in the same spot as before the surgery. Does anyone have experience with subchondral drilling? The surgery was 10 days ago. I was wondering how long it takes for the drilling to help? I just want my life back. I used to be a really active person. Now I can barely snowboard and anything involving running or jumping is out of the question. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
