Re: patellar tendonitis treatment not working

Hi thanks for the replies. I got referred to 2 different physio's which involved cross friction and more step down which hurt. 8 acupuncture sessions which despite what everyone says hurts like hell when you have 6 to 8 needles in your tendon especially when view feel the need to twiddle them every minute lol. As far as progress had an ultrasound scan which showed fluid behind tendon so physio sent me to an OS for maybe aspiration and cortisone injection for pain. He sent me for an Wikipedia reference-linkmri scan last week. My results we're as follows you have patellar tendonosis and tendonitis as in micro damage with inflammation.. he can't do any thing as I'm not a candidate for surgery. Which I didn't want anyway. Just thought I was getting an injection. Basically said carry on doing the exercises I was doing take ibrus and glucosemean. It's been two years and back to square one. What do I do now? Thanks for the rant.

Re: patellar tendonitis treatment not working

    Hi
no good to hear it, but as far as i know, in case of present immflamation, you should not do forceful exercises, gentle stretching, mobs with movement, and gradually when the fimmflamation is under control slowly do strengthening exercises.

    take care
    Jarek
