    Dislocated Shoulder

    Hi

I dislocated my right shoulder for the 3rd time on sunday. The injury occurred as i was coaching trampolining, catching a performer.
I have been referred for physio however the waiting list is likely to be around 4-6weeks and i was hoping to be back trampolining myself by this time.

Is there anything i could be doing to begin strengthening the shoulder, and how soon could i start doing exercises with it?

    Many Thanks!

    Re: Dislocated Shoulder

The 3rd time huh. Sounds like a repair is on the cards. I would wait to see the results ot an Wikipedia reference-linkMRI to ascertain what's damaged. The early phase rehab is quite specialised and it not something you should take on without Physio input at this time.

    Taping
    Thanks for the reply!
I have not been offered an Wikipedia reference-linkMRI, only to be referred to an orthopaedic surgeon, which for now i have turned down as a repair would mean it is unlikely i would be able to trampoline, so i went for the physio option.
I already have a fair range of movement and so was hoping to start gentle exercises to start off the recovery process as 4weeks seemed a bit to long

    Many Thanks!
