    Brief Medical History Overview

    inside knee pain

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    Good evening.

While playing soccer on Friday I hurt my knee tackling someone from the side. I think the impact may have bent my leg sideways slightly. After a few minutes I was able to carry on and did not feel any pain until the evening. In the evening and for the last few days I have felt pain on the inside of my knee.

I can move my leg forwards and back without much pain but when I try to do it with weight on it hurts. Crouching is most painful.
When I have my toes on the ground and try to pivot my heel inwards it is also painful

With this, today the back of my knee has been sore.

Has anyone any advice? Maybe a diagnosis? When would it be recommended to play soccer again

    Many Thanks

    Re: inside knee pain

Without to much swelling you probably haven't done anything to bad. Probably just a tweak to the medial ligament. I'd stop working on ways to see if it hurts

Can't really diagnose it on a forum so best chat with someone at your club

    Re: inside knee pain

Not trying to hurt myself has helped, thanks for the sound advice?!?

Its been two weeks now and the pain isnt bad anymore.
First thing in the morning it aches, and I cant fully bend my knee( to about 30degrees )

Ive also tried a few strengthening exercises. Should I do these on both knees?

Would it be ok to start playing again

    Many Thanks.

Doesn't sound as if something too suvere has happened.

If you have a coach or team trainer get them to check and see if you can do some advanced drills to determine if you are game ready.

Don't get back into kicking the ball at full velocity or running full velocity straight away.
